Pretty good, wish it was smoother.

You have to tension it enough so it stays upright that it doesn't exactly move smoothly. But it's held up well, looks decent, and it's a good value for the price when compared to competitors.

Don't man handle, broke boom arm putting it together.

just a reminder, not like the metal boom arms, inner parts are mostly plastic for tighten, tried getting a replacement part from the sonic fiber warranty site, but there https://sonicfiber.com/returns/ doesn't work.

Strong, acoustically fairly dead (this is a good thing!), flexible

This boom arm's movement is restrained by friction joints that are easy to adjust by tightening them down. It's quite strong and not acoustically resonant. The cable routing from a mic to the unit's base is well-hidden and neat. It can easily support quite a heavy mic, spider, pop and/or wind shield, etc. I'm happier with this than any other desk-mountable boom I've ever used. Nice!
