The plate on which the speakers rest has 4 countersunk holes. These hole are punched, not machined, and as such protrude below the bottom surface of the plate and do not sit flush to the bracket to which it attaches. This causes the plate to wobble no mater how tight the mounting screws are tightened. Unless you have the resources to correct this (I do) these are a waste of money. If manufactured correctly, these would be a 5-star item.
docadamI have the same problem with 1 of the 2 stands. Planning to make a return request due to defective/poor manufacturing. Would you mind sharing how you corrected the problem? I've noticed that the wobble is due to the adjustable plate on the post being slightly rounded. If I were to do a workaround, I'd attach something like the no-skid pads that were included. Appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks.
docadamI had the same problem with one of the plates so I took a hammer to it. Flipped the plate and laid on top of a flat surface and hammered away. That seemed to work well enough though the paint got scratched so it may potentially be a rust spot in the future.
