Combined with a 4K resolution, the player is equipped with High Dynamic Range for the ultimate in color contrast, brightness, and clarity. This works to enhance the imagery from content that’s not already formatted in 4K. Plus, HDR signals contain up to 100 times the brightness of standard SDR signal, drastically elevating picture quality. It’s no slouch with regard to sound, either. With a DTS Decoder and Dolby Atmos, the player treats sounds as separate objects. That means they’re able to move around freely for an immersive audio experience, especially in intense scenes. The system’s playing power goes far beyond just Blu-ray discs, too: Use it for DVDs, CDs, BD-ROMs, and more.
