I'm really tempted on this drop. Rtings.com gives this TV a 8.3 overall, the reviews there are unrivaled by any ratings source for TVs. The TV is heavy though, 90# for the 65" version if that matters to anyone.

Mguidry5Yeah I am extremely tempted to jump in on this drop. I really wish MassDrop would work a deal with Squaretrade to offer 5 year warranties on their TV's for an additional fee of course.

DredgerieBoth Costco and Amazon have worked out a deal with SquareTrade to offer 5 year coverage on TV's for VERY cheap. But when you go on their website they offer only 4 years of coverage for much more than the 5 Year price at either of those vendors. I bet if Massdrop reached out to them, they could work out a great deal.

Sirace135I did a quick search, you can buy Warranties for pretty much any electronic device, directly from SquareTrade within 30 days of purchase.

DredgerieThanks for taking the time to do that. In my comment I mention you can purchase the warranty on their site, but it is only 4 years instead of the 5 years offered at amazon or costco, and it is almost double the price even though it is a year shorter.

Sirace135I got mine, and man you weren't kidding about this unit being super heavy.
I mounted it high on a wall and it was VERY difficult to heft up above our heads to mount haha.
Absolutely AMAZING image, so happy I got it.

Sirace135Yes...I mounted it on the wall too, and got my (quite sturdy) brother-in-law to help. It was no joke.
