So I got these headphones, but I found the bass to be a little too tight. I'm a basshead and listen to a lot of psy trance and dark techno. I also appreciate other genres as well but yeah I need the deep bass. Not sure if I'm just used to crappy headphones? But these are the most expensive ones I've ever got. Are high quality headphones supposed to be this way? Thinking about getting the ATH m50s but not sure.

fizzy2012Did you try them with the app? I just bought these too, and adding effects/equalizer settings via app is mandatory. They're nothing special without that, imo.

tmac1100Hi. Yes I did use the equalizer, but it doesn't give me the bass that I want, which is deep, ear shaking bass.

fizzy2012The max bass I could get was cranking the clearbase setting up to 10 and choosing the outdoor stage VPT setting. I settled on a custom EQ with no VPT and 9 on clearbase, for most of my listening, but I did't want overpowered bass.
