Good lens and price but I have enough short glass. Drop the sel70300G and I'll bite.

Ive shot this lens, and it’s predeces for around three years now. It’s the ultimate travel, or walking-around lens. Is it as sharp as a prime? No, no zoom can be. Is it a fabulously versatile and good-looking lens? Absolutely. I’ve shot so many knock-out photos with this lens, it is unquestionably the greatest lens for that body (I’m still shooting my Nex-7) available. The warranty may matter. My old one failed and after repair had only autofocus, not manual focus. That was after a few thousand frames, and some less than careful adventurous trips like Burning Man. I bet you will love it, like I love mine. I may get one for my son! Bought him an A6000 recently, what a big improvement to my Nex7!

Just so we're clear, looks like this is the international version? So there's no warranty?

Seems like a pretty good deal if you shoot APS-C and like these giant-range travel zooms. Price beats Amazon and BH for sure. Bummed though b/c I got excited seeing a Sony lens in the email (b/c I feel like Sony is super underrepresented on here given the massive pro exodus to α-series cameras going on right now) and I was really hoping to finally see some of that glorious new full-frame FE glass--especially the g master stuff or the zeiss primes.
