The camera’s one-touch sharing allows you to use your smartphone or tablet as a viewfinder and remote control, and transfer your content instantly. Install the PlayMemories mobile app to your NFC-enabled Android device, or if your device isn’t NFC-enabled, pair it with your camera manually. Additional features include face detection with up to eight focus points, a smile shutter that automatically takes a shot when smiles are detected, and a tiltable LCD screen that flips up 180 degrees for beautifully composed self-portraits.
Retractable Midrange Zoom Lens
Great for travel, the E PZ 16–50mm F3.5–5.6 OSS lens collapses down to just 1.18 inches and features a power zoom for smooth, silent zooming and effortless control. It features a seven-blade circular aperture for more natural, rounded defocusing (or bokeh), along with built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization for blur-free capture when shooting handheld. Aspherical lens elements minimize distortion while ED (extra-low dispersion) glass elements provide excellent contrast, resolution, and color fidelity.
