ascarydudeDo you happen to know how these compare to the wh1000xm2?? I have listened to those alot and really liked them but missed out on the last drop at $250 but this is a little more in my preferred budget and I know they were one of the high end models from the previous year

AdobeGainzThey have the same drivers and bluetooth connectivity, so the sound should be about the same. I have listened to both of them (not for long though) and use the MDR-1000X as my daily driver. They all have a similar sound signature that tends to sound resonant with overemphasized lower mids, but they deliver great deep bass and clear highs. The frequency seperation is great, but usually limited by the bluetooth connectivity. If you have an android phone, make sure that it runs 8.0 or later and enable LDAC in the dev settings. Anything below 8.0 (or iphones for that matter) will use AAC or even SBC, wich are both vastly inferior to LDAC. I recommend not going for bluetooth headphones at all without the ability to use LDAC.

Miguel7501I have an lg g5 that has apt x support which i know is supposed to be good but do you know if it would be compatible?? I have the hd 6xx but mainly need something at least decent sounding for the gym

AdobeGainzaptX HD is fine, but not great. If you get 8.0 running on your phone, it will support LDAC. There is an unofficial LOS 15.1 available for your phone, if flashing it is something you would consider doing.
I would also not recommend these for doing sports. The NC has issues with fast head movements (on the 1000X at least), so running is not a pleasure with NC on.
