wichtomMaybe I'm confused the receiver has Power output: 165 W (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 1ch driven THD 0.9%). The KEF's are 8ohm with a amp requirement of 10-100W. At a 33% reduction because of the higher impedance the receiver should still be putting out ~110 W/Channel right?
wichtomBased on reviews:
Rated for 130 watts per channel on an 8-ohm speaker and 165 watts on a 6-ohm speaker, the STR-DN1080 has the best power output for a stereo receiver in its price range.
B3Nzi read an artickle now on the box... its up TOo 165 w pr channel.. but u need power in the box to run it too. if not it cut in volume in half position.. hope you be sattisfiy with the buy.. its a nice price thou
B3NzYour KEF's are going to sound really good with this receiver. Also paired with a good subwoofer will be good for deep movie tracks. And the receiver has way more clean power than you need for the speakers.
