I think this is an excellent price for the bundle.
I would join without hesitation but I already have the HD6xx and instead the XM3 I have a Sony MDR-1RNC.... Don't have experience with the XM3 but for a while I had the first version of the XM and the noise cancellation was simply amazing... I'd use it at the office and very often people would be taking to me and I wouldn't realize until they waved their hands in front of me.
The NC in the XM is much better than in the MDR-1RNC, but the later had much better audio quality though not as good as the HD6xx. The HD6xx+XM3 are the perfect combination in my opinion.
Long story short: awesome price for a very balanced bundle....

astrohawiYeah I have both of these and use the XM3 daily. The 6XX is fantastic but got more use before I got the Elex. If I'm honest though, I'd say that a brighter and more open sounding headphone than the 6XX would be a better compliment. The 6XX is dark with a small soundstage for open back. From the sound of it, the 4XX would be a better fit for a combo if you want more variation in sound.

astrohawiAs an owner of the 1000X and considering other options I would like to know if you use LDAC as your BT Codec and your thoughts on sound comparisons with the 1NC.
