I really wanted to like these.
After putting the Bose 700s on my ears these are no comparison. I am by no means an audiophile. I just want good sound and comfort. The latter is where these fall short for me. Among a few other small details I really dont care for. My biggest issue is with the ear cups. The foam inside feels cheap and rubs my ears while wearing these headphones. Which is really disappointing, because aside from that I think I could live with these. Especially for the price. I don't think my ears rub the inside fabric of the Bose. If they do the fabric is so soft I can't tell. My other gripe, which I knew going into this, is the lack of multi-device bluetooth connection. I was willing to live without it, and bought these knowing full well they didn't have it. But after only a day of not having it it drove me crazy. Seems like that feature should be a no brainer in 2019. I also find the clamp pressure on the Sony's lacking. Maybe just by a little but enough that it's noticeable. Don't get me wrong, they never fell off my head or anything. But even a slight jostle with my Sony's on they would move. Not so with the Bose. I wouldn't say the Sony's are bad headphones. The ANC is essentially identical. Anyone who tells you different is nit picking. The sound of them both (minus any EQ tweaking on the Sony) is great in my opinion. But I'd rather just pay the extra money and get the Bose that has comfort I know I can rely on and wear all day and be able to seamlessly switch between my devices.

orphanmeat34@orphanmeat34 You're probably a bigger guy than me but I found the comfort fine but can see how the cut-out could be annoying for those with larger ears or heads. I too was worried about comfort as I wear glasses, and most times anything clamped on my ears begin to hurt because of the added pressure and pressing of the frame between my ear and skull. Surprisingly I didn't get that with these. I mainly plan to use them for travel -- as I have issues using NC headsets they give out on planes...one never knows where they've been or if they've been properly sanitized before being placed in that plastic "I'm fresh" bag.
