Actually, I started off simply asking if there was a way to use the bluetooth headphones with a non-bluetooth device, hoping someone knew of some kind of adapter made for that purpose. I followed up with a quick explanation of why I needed it, and expressing regret that it seemed as if RF headphones were no longer being offered. There was no rant or anything close to it. There was no anger at all. Only an observation that the newest thing is not always the only thing that is needed by everyone. It's entirely likely that other people seeing this offering wanted to ask the same question. Maybe they didn't because they were afraid of being pounced on and ridiculed for not thinking the way they are supposed to. I usually wait to answer someone's question till I have something useful to offer, and not just mean spirited criticism of they way they express themselves.

Ahh, it must be your way to request help by phrasing it as a big complaint in general. All I could discerne there was some anger about bluetooth being used in a product. If somebody phrased the inquiry as "my Sansa player has no bluetooth. Is there a wireless headphone out there that could work instead?" Your way just comes off as another old guy ranting over techno-change. And I'm an old guy myself.

Wifi IS RF. It's all radio frequencies and our heads are all being bombarded by it constantly from every direction. The difference is that Wifi is RF with compressed and interleaved data so multiple connections can use the same frequencies without interfering with each other in space or time. But that convenience requires an operating system to make it happen, and is not suitable for simple devices, or older devices that still work great (maybe better than newer ones) and will do so for decades to come. While you were calling my inquiry a rant instead of trying to help me find with I need, I was able to locate several sources for simple RF headphones that are still being made for people who don't like the compression related degradation in sound quality that Wifi headphones seem to be widely famous for, and that work with non-OS dependant devices. But thanks for your help.
