Can you remove the ignition if you are already carrying a lighter?

whosyourberryYou can (I've seen it done on YouTube... a couple screws and it pulls out). If you don't need the piezo, I'd consider getting the Soto Amicus without the piezo. I own both the Amicus and Windmaster, and the Amicus is a GREAT stove too. And about half the cost. That all said, have you used a stove with a piezo? VERY convenient. Also, in any kind of wind, it is far easier to light a stove than with a lighter.

whosyourberryHere's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gqm-Uyb6p8 To take it off you should only have to remove the one small screw. To put it back you'd remove the larger screw and replace the small one. (And maybe rebend the tiny tab?) Personally, I always have two sources of ignition. If I removed the ignition I'd carry two Mini Bics. (Or a Mini Bic and something else) So if I left the ignition on I'd just have one Mini Bic. (As a backup) I'm pretty certain the ignitor weighs less than half what a Mini Bic weighs. In my case, I'd carry more weight if I removed the ignitor. But I really like the ignitor. It works so well that I'd never remove it. And if it quit working, I'd replace it.
