There are a lot of reasons to dis this drop, but I'm going to start with the copy. One can describe this jacket as being "puffy" but one cannot call it "a puffy" as in "this puffy is conveniently machine washable" (note to gen-x: adjectives often make lousy nouns). And not to put too fine a point on it, but the manufacturer refers to this coat as a "Puffer" not the more Hello-Kitty-sounding, "Puffy."
On the other hand, MD chose not to use the manufacturer's dippiest sales pitch: "Perfect for Colder Weather" (as if there were some other kind of weather where one would chose to wear this coat/parka/green beastie)?
However, in defense of both parties, this coat will work as advertised. So long as the bulk and noisy fabric don't get in the way, you'll be reasonably warm and toasty all season long in this very puffy puffer.
