The sounds are excellent quality however I have excellent hearing so I hear for instance on the rain sound drips on the wood next to the mic they recorded on. The waves sound is great but seagulls are not nocturnal and not while you sleep unless you work nights. There are several options for length of time settings and an option that increases the volume with increased surrounding noise. It has a connection for using your own music device also. The size is nice. The selection dial is easy to use. Overall I would recommend it.
