Just got mine. Sweet! Compared to my old monitor flat-response headphones these are quite vivid and I'm loving the open-back difference in sound. Got home after enjoying them at work and was confused that they didn't sound as good...then I realized it was cuz the amp and volume needed to be higher before they really kick in. Wow, it sounded like some guy with a stand up bass was standing in front of me. Very happy, thanks massdrop!

I specifically got these because of the lower impedance, I thought I wouldn't need an amp. I've been using them with an onboard soundcard and had feeling this would help. I've only given them about 25 - 30 hours of break-in, but I'm still having issues with the treble sounding artificial or thin at times and the lower end sounding light.
You need an Amp buddy. We all do.
Even if they are low impedance, having a good amp makes all the difference.
I did feel that way at first, but after switching my sound card to bit matched playback they sounded more to what I expected. That being said, these are the clearest headphone I've ever used. I do feel these headphone are tad laid back on vocals though.
