Just throwing this out there, the tension wrench included in these is not very wide, which makes picking difficult as it rotates too easily.

Thank you for the heads up on this. I have never had a lock picking set and though I have been interested, haven't found one that I felt suited me. I like this one a lot, do you think it is okay for newbs to get started on?

the picks themselves and the setup is pretty neat and compact, but I'd advise just having a full size tension wrench available as well.

You can take a wider stainless tension wrench and bend it to match, then gently file 4 small divots in the side so it will fit nicely in the pen just like the stock ones- it's very easy to do, Southord includes two identical long ones and two identical short ones...why they couldn't have included a wider set is beyond me! It is very easy to make a standard wide wrench fit.
