Is the only version available the 10006-05 model? If the 10006-04 version is available I'd jump right on this, but I was not offered that choice at checkout--as far as I could see.

Even if I had $3K+ (or $12K original) to blow on a watch I would look at other alternatives, not this obscure watch.

Thanks for the thoughtful and insightful response! After I looked at this on drop, I did some google searches and learned a little bit more about the brand and its history.
This is one of those junctures in my watch collecting that I wish I had limitless cash so I could buy something like this to check it out. But alas, I’ll have to stick with my Oris, Anonimo, and some of the other watches I’ve managed to come across and they so happened to fit my budget.

A little heavy on the roman numeral vibe for me, but still a really nice piece.
My mouse pointer has been inching nearer to the unsubscribe button for Drop emails, but this provides a little hope that there might still be something worthwhile here. The past year here looks a little like the worst of Watch Gang.
