This company outsources all their production to India and China. Hard to tell, but I'd guess these polos are probably made in India. The company makes no secret of it (they're proud of having an office in China), but some customers here may want to know without having to hunt for the info.
IIRC the founder of Spier and Mackay has connections to a family-owned factory in India. It's a small operation, I remember him saying they only have a few cutters.

IanAndersonIt's true that on the outsourcing spectrum, committing to 1 factory and watching how they do things is better than just ordering from the lowest bidder with no questions asked. And I'll take India over certain other countries--better legal protection for workers etc.
Hi, Rick here from SPIER & MACKAY. This polo is produced in China in a factory that we've been working with for over 12 years. (We used to have a small t-shirt/knit company here in Toronto waaaaay back before SPIER & MACKAY existed). This particular factory is modern with leading edge equipment and facilities. They are producing for many major brands such as Uniqlo, Topshop/Topman, Reiss and A&F off the top of my head. We have had an office in China for the past seven years for sourcing and QC. This factory is nowhere near a low cost producer. We can easily get lower costs in other parts of China. Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia and Vietnam are all now lower cost producers for knits than almost anywhere in China. We decided on this factory because of our long relationship with them and their consistent, high quality.
Our Indian factory is a small JV set up by us and a local garment producer strictly for our dress shirts (both OTR and MTM) as well as a new Khaki/Chino program.
Hope this helps.
