Spiffy Lab 2XL Ballpoint Pen

Yeesh, what a mess of a pen. Basically all you need to know was said by hooknlddr27 and itanibro below. Poor machining on threads, ultra sharp knurling, the absolute worst anodizing ever, and a ridiculously large cap with about an inch of wasted space and a silly clip(if you look at the photos the tip of pin when capped stops right at the knurling on the cap, why is the rest of that even there).

This was a big upset... the quality of this pen is sub par. It seems as though production was rushed. I ordered the black anodized version and when I opened the box, my first thought was, "this is worst anodizing I have ever seen!" First, the knurling on the body of the pen did not take the anodizing well at all making the pen look like it is old and has been carried for years. I have bought items that have deep knurling like this pen and have beautiful anodizing that have cost less than this pen at the discounted drop price. Second, the threads of the butt end of the pen are damaged making the back difficult to screw/unscrew. I'm going to have to clean the threads to ensure it doesn't completely strip over time. One recommendation I have is to use some gun oil on the areas that screw/unscrew to reduce the chatter/squeaking of the parts (I doubt I'm the only one that has experienced this). Overall, I can say this drop was a failure since there was no QC procedures performed by anyone involved.

Unfortunately, I feel a need to share my disappointment with the quality of this pen. I just received it. The finish is too "machined" in my opinion. It's almost as if the final polish or finish step was skipped in the manufacturing process. The best way I can describe it is - it feels like a raw, rough piece of aluminum with a pen insert in it. If that was the intent, then mission accomplished. I suppose I expected something a bit more refined.
