This was a big upset... the quality of this pen is sub par. It seems as though production was rushed. I ordered the black anodized version and when I opened the box, my first thought was, "this is worst anodizing I have ever seen!"
First, the knurling on the body of the pen did not take the anodizing well at all making the pen look like it is old and has been carried for years. I have bought items that have deep knurling like this pen and have beautiful anodizing that have cost less than this pen at the discounted drop price.
Second, the threads of the butt end of the pen are damaged making the back difficult to screw/unscrew. I'm going to have to clean the threads to ensure it doesn't completely strip over time.
One recommendation I have is to use some gun oil on the areas that screw/unscrew to reduce the chatter/squeaking of the parts (I doubt I'm the only one that has experienced this).
Overall, I can say this drop was a failure since there was no QC procedures performed by anyone involved.
