Taking inspiration from the world of yachting, Spinnaker watches combine elements of sophistication, power, and of course, the sea. The Cahill Diver is easy to read at depths of up to 100 meters, with an aesthetic that harkens back to divers of old Read More
The Spinnaker logo on my dial fell off and got tangled with the hands. I removed it and it works (and looks) fine but it was a little inconvenient to deal with. Also, some people mentioned the bezel is difficult to turn. Mine was as well but I simply turned it a few dozen times and it loosened up. Not that impressed with the quality, but I still like the design of the watch.
My watches bezel at around 45 ripped off for no reason. I did not drop or hit anywhere. I thought may be I have hit somewhere that I was not aware but in this case there would be some signs of scratches around the ripped part. But no there isn't any single sign of scratch but bezel paint ripped off as you can see in the picture. I want to return back the watch unfortunately :(
So will I contact to MD or Spinnaker?
ChaturangaAn update to my problem. MD returned me kindly and they are following my problem. I am satisfied with customer care really. I will update here for final solution.
T-Doggi couldn't find it either. I even replied to that and they send me a PDF of the return and barcodes with UPS that i need to paste on the parcel to send back. i didnt do it though.
Watch received. Slapped with 30% custom duty but still a good deal. Hand winding at crown position 1 feels like gears meshing together or like a tiny zipper moving. It's not the tic-tic-tic I am used to on my other hand winds..
Massdrop just issued a $15 refund for everyone who got the watches with NATO straps. Makes it an even better deal for me because I was planning on putting it on a NATO strap anyways.
Yeah, mine is about 2 seconds fast on the wrist, and about 4 to 5 dial up not wearing it. As far as the leather strap, I would have put it aside in case for if I were to ever sell it.
WAKTOSHAAfter contacting MD again, and informing them they have listed a 2 year warranty they told me that we do have the warranty. If there are any warranty issues we just contact MD first. They will either have it repaired, or replaced though Spinaker, or they will refund us for the faulty watch in question. Just to state one more time, We Do Have a Warranty!
Got mine (Black case with Red-Blue Nato strap) yesterday.
I was wearing Moto 360 for a long time and at first glance 38mm came so small to my eyes :) But it's ok now, first impressions are positive. Watch appears solid, works very silent. Lume is not perfect but enough for me. When you charge it, it shines very well for a few minutes but later dims. I weared in the bed last night, and in the darkness I was able to read time whole night. It's a dimmed lume but readable.
Accuracy wise, I did not measure whole day cycle yet but, for 12+ hours now and while wearing, it's at +2 seconds. That is very good movement.
[Update 22.11.2017] After 24 hours of wearing +5 seconds. I will test without wearing in following days.
[Update 23.11.2017] It's +15 seconds (in 23 hours) while not wearing the watch. So, it seems wearing helps a lot and keeps time significantly accurate.
Coming to strap, I don't like Nato style straps and for such a thickness (14 mm) using a Nato will be more meaningless for me. I changed strap to another leather one as you can see on the photos. But may be a darker color leather will be better for this watch.
So well done Spinnaker.
