Nice top
A well made top. Is very light though. The grip on the top is great. I have hyperhidrosis so I have difficult getting a good grip on the smooth handled tops. This one is much better than smooth.

Excellent craftsmanship , I purchased the Flamed Stainless Steel – Ruby Bearing  top. Looks great and great spin times. I don't regret my purchase. Easily in my top five, for tops I've purchased.

The whole point of the “hollow” handle (misadvertized here!) and expensive ruby ball is to TRANSMIT LIGHT TO THE RUBY! These idiots didn’t drill the hole all the way through so the ruby is dark. I should have just bought the original Prometheus Lights top.

LOOK: This brass/ruby top is really beautiful and extremely well polished. It's not only about the carvings on the side or the high quality of the material. I recommend looking at the fine details with a magnifying glass in order to fully appreciate the high precision work. I could say it's my most beautiful one-piece top. On this point, it beats the famous Lambda. DESIGN: Obviously, the design is inspired from the Lambda, but there are many differences (in addition to the carvings): in spite of having the same 1'' diameter and the same height, Sceptre looks thinner because the main disk has more material cut out from the upper and lower corners; both upper and lower sides of the disk central part are slightly hollowed; the bearing ball is smaller; the upper knurled part of the spindle is thicker; for some unknown reason, the spindle is not hollowed in its full length and the ruby is not visible from above. As a result of all these small differences, the look is significantly different from Lambda. PERFORMANCE: I get only 7:55 minute spins, while I get 10:08 with Lambda brass/ruby (on the same cheap 3x mirror). This is due in part to the thicker spindle (it's beautiful but, as I feared, it's less efficient for providing high rpm at the start) and in part to a less good distribution of mass: less mass near the rim, more mass on the upper part of the spindle (the global -3g is unlikely to have any effect). Spinning is very stable, with wobbling in only the last 40 seconds. The carvings on the rim do not induce any flutter. NOTICEABLE: When spinning, the carvings on the rim make it look softer. SUMMARY: I'm very happy with this high quality top and I'll buy a copper or flamed stainless steel version if the drop is re-activated. NOTE: I also have the "basic" flamed steel top from this shop (bought on Etsy). When spinning, its milled rim makes it look as if it had two separate disks. It has longer spin times and it's beautiful also. I highly recommend both tops. (I was asked to make a review; I copied mine from what I wrote in the older discussion thread)

Good. It spins long. (This is the only spin top I own).
