Although I'm going to keep it, my knife looks to be a second. It has machining flaws on both the blade and the lockbar, and the carbon fiber scales are scuffed. I expected to get a first quality knife, not an imperfect knife that Spyderco was trying to offload.
I really hope the Positron is a first quality knife, or I will be a very unhappy camper.

Great news group! We placed the order shortly after the drop ended and the vendor has let us know that it's already been picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 12/11. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 12/15 or sooner if something comes up.

TylerIs there a way for me to change my shipping address? I was not expecting this to get shipped so soon and it would be better for me to get it shipped elsewhere because I will be gone for a while due to winter break.

I love this knife. My only gripe is that it can't be taken apart. I like being able to disassemble my knives.

theupandcomingcoreyBeing pinned together is the only draw back to this knife.

how would this compare with a Sage 2 or Sage 3? The Sage series for me is nearly perfect as a ~3" blade EDC. (looks, ergos, blade shape and steel quality)

does it feel more/less/equally as durable as the sage? Is it just the scales are thinner or is the blade much thinner too? and what's w/the ZDP-189 on this blade? it seems like the core is 420 or some other steel. Is that for costs or is it the blend of a malleable steel with a very hard one to increase durability and reduce fragility?

dealaholicFrom what I understand the outer layer is to prevent corrosion/rust etc because the core metal is prone to that.

I think these are one of Spydeco's best knives. The full steel steel liners give it a nice weight buts it's still a great size for an everyday knife. I really regret missing out on the Super Blue sprint run of these a couple years ago.

These are on Spyderco's 2016 discontinued list, so this would be a good time to pick one up if you want it.
