Pros: good slicer, lightweight, handy size/shape
Cons: thin blade got some chips near the tip through general non-abusive use. Edges at back of blade seemed a little sharp. Kept falling out of my pocket -- the clip didn't hold it very securely. I've since lost it and am looking for a replacement.
Would I get one again - yes, but in FRN . The scales were mostly acrylic on mine with little patterning.
Action is not good at all and the overall quality is not what i expect from Spyderco. Mine might be a dud but i have noticed that if it does not come from Golden, CO or from the Taichung plant it is not the best quality. This knife has just become one of the junk knives in the bottom of my drawer.
No complaints with the handle. The blade itself is super-thin and sharp, makes a nice light-duty EDC knife. Edges (like the back lock and spine) are a little sharp. So far, I like it more than the Delica due to the great ergonomics. No regrets and I'd like to get the FRN version too.
Nice little knife. Very slicey and holds the edge a long time with the XHP steel. Scales are pretty, though if I bought a chapparal again, I'd go for the FRN version. Love the wire clip too!
