I received my knife and I love everything about it, except for the unpleasant surprise that it's made in China! I know, it shouldn't have been a surprise. "Buyer beware." I didn't read these comments and only now do I see that many Drop customers identified the country of origin HERE . . . But I did read the details on the product page, and Drop DIDN'T identify the country of origin on the product page. Spyderco built a reputation for making quality, ergonomic knives in COLORADO for reasonable prices. That's the reputation that they built in my mind and doubtlessly in the minds of many other buyers. So when I saw this drop, that's what I assumed I was getting. This is the way I found out that Spyderco now hires some unnamed Chinese company to make knives with their brand on them. Now, for my forty-eight bucks, I have something I don't want and can't return, and a negative impression of both Drop and Spyderco. Buyer beware, indeed.
