One thing to note is that the litle disk on the side is a lock. Turn it clockwise when the knife is open, and the lock bar cannot be undone. This is a safety feature. But if you didn't know this, you might think the knife is broken when you accidentally rotate this disk and find you cannot close the knife. That happened to me, so heads up.
I love the Elmax steel. The blade is stout. Thick and solid. That makes it strong, but not as slicey as something like the Para 2. Still, a great quality piece that will give you great pride of ownership.
