I have this one--a really good knife in my opinion. The grind is flat with a secondary bevel, not zero ground like the original version (unless this is the original version which I doubt--in fact you can see the secondary edge on the picture, so it's not the original zero grind). it is still very delicate and fine--the spine is thick, but is ground down so it is the thinnest edge of all my spyderco flat ground blades (military, paramilitary, manix, moran, techno, slyze). Honestly it's not a great knife for abusing, but you won't find a folder that is thinner behind the edge, and as a consequence such a good slicer and so easy to resharpen on a sharp-maker. The handle at the same time is not light or delicate at all. It is actually a very heavy knife because of the solid steel back spacer. It is also handle heavy rather than neutrally balanced.

I hope the description is wrong. They describe "full flat bevels" flowing into a "zero ground edge". This is how they originally produced this knife and--after a multitude of edges rolling, chipping, and otherwise failing--they reissued the knife with a secondary bevel. They can pull off zero grinds with scandis because of the steepness of the grind, which leaves substantially thicker, reinforcing material behind the edge. A full flat grind, however, would produce a paper-thin blade behind the edge, weakening it and increasing failure in even modest use. (See my photo of a scandi grind--attached--for comparison.) Now, their photos clearly show a secondary bevel so maybe the description is out-of-date...but I'd love some verification that these are not the old model before I join in.

Another great deal-$20 below wholesale dealer cost - and get it now or lose it forever as Spyderco is discontinuing them next year.
