JonasHeinemanJonas, by the time you factor in the difference in shipping costs to the UK, it's cheaper for me through Amazon. Thanks for the sarcasm present throughout this thread. That's a wonderful example of how to build a good relationship with your buyers.

badfrogI don't get people like you - if you don't like the deal and find a cheaper price at terms satisfactory to you (like faster shipping) why aren't you buying it there as opposed to complaining here?

PNWNativePNWNative, I already did that months ago through Amazon and it's an EDC. I waited for it to come up on Massdrop to get a backup one.
As for complaining, I belong to Massdrop because it used to be the place for great deals. That seems to have gone in place of exotics, specials that can't generate enough interest to make it out of the gate and items that can't ship to the UK. If you're happy with the deal, good for you.

badfrogDid you not read the link about MAP from the Spyderco forums provided above? MAP means that authorized sellers of Spyderco products cannot sell it below a certain price. That means MD cannot offer a deal you would like nor can anyone else that is an authorized vendor. And further, if you deduct the $10 for a case, the drop is $110, which is still lower than $125 (the current price on Amazon). Finally, I live in state where Amazon charges sales tax, which amounts to $12.50 on the Amazon price - a total savings of $22.50 over the $125 on Amazon. If it is your backup EDC, why worry about the wait?

badfrogActually, if you really look at my previous posts, I am not a fanboy. Furthermore, I review the product offerings and then do my research. If I really want the product (or find a similar product) at a better price and terms I buy it there without whining and complaining. There was a RAT offered in D2 steel with carbon fiber scales, but I found another product with orange scales, I like orange. So I bought it there without whining and didn't whine. It was a good deal with the features I like.
