Spyderco Roadie Lightweight Folding Knife

The flight attendants rebelled against the plan (as they have to deal with a bunch of cell-phone obsessed lunatics already). There was a serious effort to let small knives back on airplanes as functional tools (e.g., cutting apples, trimming threads, cutting paper). Several manufacturers designed ahead expecting a new market, but the plan didn't go through and the knives are still being sold. TSA may or may not turn a blind eye when this type of knife is buried deep in a carry-on; a few years ago a business acquaintance told me he carried a 2" knife on dozens of flights and was never challenged.

I was hoping for the same $10 off case. I may have even opted to keep the case this time, too!

Definitely used as a logo/trademark/whatever design element. To show that, “yeah, it’s a Spyderco”, upon first seeing it. Completely useless in terms of opening the actual knife.
