I think Direct contact whit Ti body is not good idea. Titanium is soft metal.
I don't know why they didn't use steel bumpers at all. They even use bronze washers! Which means they know about that very well (Of course Far far far better then me.)

high1This knife was designed before the trend of steel lockbar inserts and ball bearing pivots.
Chris Reeve doesn't seem to be interested in ball bearing pivots, but he's put ceramic ball bearing on the lockbar interface of the Umnumzaan and the new 25, so maybe they'll eventually add that to the Sage.

guvnorNice point !
bronze washers looks quite nice to me xD (I know how simple and nice working washers are) But if they up date frame lock's contact area with steel, may be it's better for me
In the other hand, nice looking unibody Ti frame is better for simple exterior So, i think they choose nice looking design, cuz lock has not much problems at all
I prefer reinforced lockbars for longer use. But normal use, this makes not that problem, i think. Also 'If' the problem comes, we can just simply mail them for warranty too!
So some body like me, will not go for this. Some body like this style? Just Go for it! it will not be disappoint you at all!(Spyderquality!)
Thanks for nice reply guvnor!!
