I have this knife. It is excellent. the fit and finish is unrivalled. the lock up feels like a fixed blade. The only con I have is that it is hard to get it back to shaving sharp. It stays work sharp for a long time but getting it to hair popping sharp is difficult.

jarcherWhat do you use to sharpen it?
I have use a Lansky sharpening kit with diamond stones and have no problem. I used it once to profile it to my liking, and now every 3 or 5 months give it a few swipes with a 1000grit ceramic, and then strop on a $0.99 leather belt from Goodwill with some chromium oxide. I can get it back to scary sharp in less than 5 minutes. This knife is the reason I got tired of 18CR13MOV. It seems to get sharper, and holds it for much much longer while being just as easy for me to sharpen.

jarcherGet rid of the old edge before you sharpen by sawing with medium pressure into a medium stone. Then put marker on the edge so you can see where you are hitting.

jarcherI get pretty good results after using the stones, I get the amazing results after using the strop. And stropping it every couple of weeks keeps the edge better longer. GL with it!
