I do not own a knife in H1. My understanding is that when the steel is compressed, the outside will be much harder than the inside. This explains the reasons for choosing a fully serrated blade in H1. A smooth grind exposes the steel in the middle of the blank, which is the softest part. I might be buying a fully serrated version in the future. Severals responses in forums stated that the Sharpmaker did a great job in keeping this blade (H1) sharp.
Spyderco drops on massdrop are never a great deal. That has to do with spyderco having pricing requirements. Except for this drop, massdrop almost always will provide a spyderco zippered pouch that you can decline and get $15 to $20 off. There are a lot of spyderco blue box drops that can provide a chance for a awesome deal. I got a native 5 with s110v and blue g10 scales for $80 from a blue box drop.
Same price as amazon for the yellow one and more expensive for the black ones but i can have the amazon knives tomorrow with free shipping.
Not it sure I’m a fan of having to double check every “deal” to see if it’s really a deal.
Great knife! Lightweight. Rust proof. Sharpens easily. I really love it. Yellow handle for visibility. Massdrop price is about the same as retail. Drop the price 20-30 bucks and it would be a fine deal. I do love Spyderco knives. For edc I often carry a Pingo or Delicia or Salt 2.
Massdrop you are selling one knife so why are you calling it a collection? When you sell all the knives together for a combined price, then call it a collection
