About 20 percent larger than the popular Spyderco Native, the Shaman will fill any hand comfortably. The 3.6-inch blade—available plain or serrated—is a true workhorse. It’s done in the leaf shape that Spyderco has come to be known for, meaning it excels in both piercing and slicing. If you go for the serrated version it can easily saw through most materials, too. Plus, it’s made from CPM-S30V, one of the best all-around blade steels on the market. Moving on to the handle, it’s made from G-10 for grip retention. Machined holes in all four positions allow you to move the pocket clip back and forth for any kind of carry you desire. The whole package is matte black for a non-reflective look that won’t draw attention in the field or in your pocket. If you prefer lanyard carry, you’re in luck, as the knife also comes with a Spyderco bead lanyard.
