I ordered the black version but I am wondering if I should get the regular version. This is my first Southard. Does the uncovered blade look better on this knife.

lobsangAs long as the black coating is Spyderco's DLC (diamond-like coating), its you should be good. It's strong and wears extremely well. I prefer neutral colors personally, and dyed my first Southard scales. From the stock brown, I colored the G-10 scales jet black. Honestly, you'll likely be fine with either. Personal preference.
