Got mine, last week, nice knife, well built and good size for edc. First experience with Massdrop, definetly not the last. Thanks for the drop.

The Spy-DK is an excellent EDC (everyday carry) knife. In daily use, the high quality of materials and workmanship are easily noticed.
My only worry was whether I needed one-hand opening. The Spy-DK requires two hands, but this has not been an issue in my EDC use. If you need one-hand opening, check out the Spyderco Urban. If you think you "might" need one hand opening, get this Spy-DK. It's a good deal.

Am I the only member that joined this drop and saw that shipping was expressly advertised as free for USA members and was charged a $2.75 shipping fee long after I committed to buying this knife?

MrtywLike many others do, don't forget that Massdrop is not only for USA buyers. Buyers in many other geographies are not properly served by Amazon.com (or, if they are, it's with outrageous shipping costs). Massdrop is a godsend for people in other markets.

I feel like it would be unfair to Spyderco to say that they messed up on the design. I'm rather an outlier, and it still took me a day or two of practice to get a technique worked out to open it safely with one hand. A random person on the street would be unlikely to work it out during a traffic stop. For example.

A bargain for any UK buyers one of the best knife supplier here are charging the equivalent of $93!
The blade steel N690C is good quality and holds an edge well, I have a Squeak in the same materia.
