Combining the user-friendly aspects of a chef’s knife with the portability of a folding knife, the SpydieChef covers a lot of bases. Measuring just under 8 inches long, it features a sheepsfoot-trailing-point combo blade that excels in slicing, skinning, and detail work Read More
Recieved in Australia about 2 weeks ago now, it was the latest version with black hardware & ceramic detente. I only got it because of all the hyped reviews, I am predominantly a custom knife collector these days but thought a rust proof beater would be cool & I could sell it if I couldn't spydie flick it open as some reviews said they couldn't. Turns out I can. Not only that, the blade is ground to a really nice edge, this thing is a slicing demon, it is really well constructed, perfectly centred, it hasn't left my pocket this I got it. I still don't love the design, but as a tool, this thing is awesome, so thin, easy to carry, I really cannot speak highly enough of it and I am wrapted I picked one up. For me in Australia this was the cheapest place to purchase one shipped, granted its not a ripper deal for those living in the USA, for me it was a good deal and I am very happy with it.

GREAT SLICER
Very sharp, born to be a cooking slicer. Craftsmanship is superb, thanks to the TAICHUNG workers.
No brain steel : true stainless. It will make a great EDC also because the handle is thin after taking off the clip.

design as for the Stretch ... Lol.
The only cons is the well known gritty unlocking, it lack a little steel insert. Perhaps it will be better after a breaking period.
