Just received mine in Singapore today, no dramas with shipment. Came in an envelope, box wasn't damage. Good grip in the hand, heavy for it's size, feels sturdy and well made and extremely sharp. Slices paper like butter. Easy to open with one hand, great safety mechanism as there is a stop when it's closed half way. Very happy with my purchase, thank you Massdrop!
The Squeak/Elmax is an excellent EDC knife. I got this on the last drop. The razor sharp Elmax blade and the titanium scales provide a solid feel that constantly reminds you that this is a Spyderco sprint run knife.
The only caveat to this knife is the 2" blade length. The shorter blade length can conpromise usage and require a little MacGyer ingenuity. But the flip side is that the compact Squeak disappears in the fifth pocket with amazing ease.
So, to use a car analogy, think of this as a small, high performance sports car that can't haul an entire family around town. But that's okay! That's not it's intended purpose.
DeLucaThe Elmax steel is great but I think the Spyderco UKPK or the Spyderco Urban would be a better option. Maybe not Elmax steel but you still get decent steel. My logic is that you are getting more blade, while still keeping it small and a good EDC. Plus all three are slip joints.
An eBay seller by the name of whitemountainknives has these on sale for 102$ with free shipping. sold out of Rochester, New Hampshire with 100% feedback on over 73k transactions. Only 4 available.
Again WTF MD ? [moderated] Why wont you ship internationally, cause blade is 2inch or longer than that ? Is not foldable so it cannot be securely shipped ? How the fck you ship gerber tools with 3 inch blade in them ?
They don't follow through with the sale. After the purchase, it's a tooth and nail battle if you have any issues with the item/purchase. Look at the space pen drop and read those comments. I've had issues with headphones as my personal reason for calling them untrustworthy.
Before you get on a drop, you best be sure to look around on the internet at prices. I have found dozens of occasions were you're actually paying more for product than retail.
That's the problem I have with Massdrop.
Now, don't get me wrong wrong, they do bring innovative products and products at superb prices. THAT'S FOR SURE!
.... But they do pull shadyness and it's not just me noticing that this has been happening more and more over the years.
This is not my only account.
Also, thank you for asking in a professional manner as an adult. 👍👍
