Never understood the whole illegal locking folders. So they want people to risk cutting their fingers off?

Spyderco's design with the finger choils remedies this nicely though.

tyler555I think the idea is that it's harder to restrict knives such as flick-knives, or switchblades, without being so specific as to allow a loop-hole. Instead, they generalize and just ban any knife with a blade that locks open. Just need a few people to have well-publicized accidents because they didn't use a locking knife, and call attention to well-intentioned but ridiculous laws.

crec4eSeems reasonable but I've noticed that 'logic' & 'lawmakers' seldom intermingle. Particularly when it comes to "weapons"! Now if Prince Charles ended up needing stitches from using a non-locking knife...
