Teflon washers as opposed to phosphor bronze in this model if that makes any difference to people. Not sure why some spyderco's go with teflon while most models use phosphor bronze.

lobsterIt may have to do with where they're manufactured. I'm pretty sure the Taichung, Taiwan knives come with the phosphor bronze washers(I know two of mine did), but this one's from Japan and they may go with the teflons. I'm not sure what they do in Golden.
