FarsideI won't tell if you don't.
PS. It's limited supply, roughly 80 units available, we haven't sent out the email yet, so get it while the going is good.
andyIs it alright to post to a competing site to show off the blue one? I have a link of a well known blade retailer (and you blow their price out of the water might I add) that shows it off quite nicely.
LoH_MobiusIts absolutely alright to post it, thanks for asking first though :)

FarsideIt's not damascus steel, the core is the blade steel (or the important part of the blade at least). VG-10 is essentially a stainless steel. If it was a stronger steel like SV30 or D2, it'd be worth it, but you can get a knife like that for MUCH cheaper.
OhWhyHelloIt's VG-10 clad in damascus. And technically, S30V and D2 aren't necessarily 'stronger' than VG-10, but more wear-resistant, which translates to better edge retention. On the other hand, VG-10 is very easy to sharpen to a hair-splitting edge.
OhWhyHello'Damascus' is used to refer to pattern welded steels nowadays(actually, for like the last 20+ years). Therefore original damascus is usually referred to as Wootz steel.
VG-10 isn't essentially stainless - it IS a stainless steel. Just like CPM-S30V.
Not sure why you think S30V or D2 would be "stronger". Steels are generally judged on wear resistance and toughness. Besides D2 not containing enough Chromium to be technically considered a stainless, you wouldn't notice the difference between the three unless it was marked for you.
