3 Ways to Open a Dynamic Spyderco

Argentinian custom knifemaker Javier Vogt has an eye for style. The Spyderco Tropen is a great example. Opening the knife can be achieved three different ways: via the flipper, the thumb hole, or the Emerson Wave opener. When fully opened, the Tropen is a sight to behold. A 4-inch blade sweeps up to a keen point, while the handle slopes downward for a comfy hold. The result is a balanced yin-yang effect. Made from CPM-S30V stainless steel, the blade holds a great edge, even when dealing with water and muck. It stays safe and secure thanks to Spyderco’s compression lock, which also supports closure with just one hand. If you’re not carrying the knife by the tip-up clip, stow it in the included Spyderco zippered pouch.

Note: Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
