I own one. Love it. I use it primarily for food prep when we cook out at work or some remote location. It is an excellent food prep blade. Super smooth action. Comfortable. Very different in many good ways.

Very pretty! Would be a safe queen for me, as I can't imagine EDC'ing this in Canada, people would flip!

When closing, the shark fin-like flipper tab hits your finger out of the way before the blade makes contact with your finger, but still it takes some getting used to. Besides that it's still a cool slicer.

Yeah....that's way too much blade exposure for me to be comfortable with in my pocket 😳

I have one wave, will be getting rid of it.not a very satisfying way to deploy a blade.I would try someone else’s wave before buying.

Does this knife come with both the box and a Spyderco case, or is the case in place of the box?

I have one and it is indeed easily able to cut you when it's closed. It feels great in the hand though...

I've never used a "wave" myself, but man that hook looks aggressive, no? Hope your jeans are sturdy.

No, It's called an "Emerson Wave" feature ™. How to Use the Emerson Wave Feature It will not destroy fabrics. The Clip is more likely to do damage to fabrics than the Wave feature. Been using this feature for years on Emerson's with good results.

Glad to hear you've had no issues with yours, but there are plenty of complaints out there of wave features damaging pants. Again though, some appear to be designed more or less aggressively than others, depending on the maker and the model
