If there was ever a kitchen knife that could do it all, this one from Spyderco would be in the running. Measuring 10.25 inches overall, with a 5.75-inch blade, it’s large enough for serious cutting tasks, yet offers the refined balance, control, and precision normally found in smaller paring knives. The blade is made from VG-10 stainless steel, which is typically found in high-end Japanese folding knives. The unique sheepsfoot shape lends itself to slicing, chopping, piercing, and more. With it, you can just as easily chop an onion as you can carve a roast. The handle is made from Corian, an acrylic polymer typically used in countertops—so you know it can stand up to wear and tear. Of course, though it serves just an aesthetic purpose here, the blade has Spyderco’s signature thumb hole, too.
