Lol common now Massdrop, really I guess you guys don't care about the community you build seems like every drop I see is better to purchase it somewhere else
BHQ is currently offering the knife for $140.40 with free shipping. Amazon is offering it for $140.38 with Prime free shipping. The Drop offer is no bargain.
You can’t take weeks or months to deliver and ask for the same price as elsewhere, you guys used to have deals, I just don’t understand how this is supposed to work long term.
Eh... It was nice to see some US-made product with the Native 5 deal but these BladeHQ prices and the now-ubiquitous WE Knife $150 "collabs" do nothing to get my heart pumping. Even when the materials, design and blade all fit... I want my money to go where I live. End of.
Was much more useful as a drop when they used to offer the discount for declining the "free pouch"
But, also, Spyderco seriously charges the same for a trainer vs a live blade?!
With a cheaper steel, no grinding, no sharpening, just cutting a few holes....that's ridiculous 😳
Well, my first drop finally arrived :)
And my first Spyderco, and my first wharncliff.
Initial inspection, everything looks flawless and solid on the knife.
Yes, the lock can pinch you, but only takes a minute to figure out how not to hold it while deploying the blade to avoid that. (no idea how people say they get pinched in the lock closing it though?)
Seems like a quality piece for sure, just not sure about the life expectancy of this delicate looking tip. Guess time will tell!
