Modern Designs With a Twist
Designed by Kristy Daum, founder and president of the St. Louis Modern Quilt Guild, these quilt patterns are influenced by modern and De Stijl art styles. Each design comes printed on a piece of paper and has its own supply list. The Floor Plan pattern plays with pieced stripes and blocks of different colors for an architectural look. Parallel is a modern take on the disappearing nine-patch block, which features tons of negative space so you can highlight your favorite fabrics. Point of View has a bold visual aesthetic that uses perspective and negative space to draw attention to specific colors. Finally, Star’d is a modern twist on the classic Ohio Star quilt block pattern, and emphasizes the blending of fabric patterns and colors.
