Does not seem practical to have just 3 keys to unnecessarily occupy a USB port. I own multiple custom keebs, artisan keycaps, cables etc, and I find this device pointless.
I think 'unnecessary' is a terrible word for this hobby: if you only have two hands, "multiple custom keebs" are literally unnecessary too, unless you use all of them all the time and that's why you have no USB ports left.
Again, I just don’t understand why you felt the need to leave such a snide post on a for-fun product. Its not made to be practical - its made for fun, for those who want it. Its not like drop is trying to force you to buy a 3-key board.
I don't understand why you would have to get offended for someone sharing his opinion on a ridiculous product. Freedom of expression. Everything doesn't have to go your way.
Its a ridiculous product by design. That’s the point, its like its going over your head with how serious you are. Like I mentioned its literally an april fools product. I don’t need everything to “go my way.” I support your expression in the same way I’ll express how deprecating you sound over something just made for fun. Its just a very strange comment you made 1) acting like USB is precious real estate, no ones making you use this 2) randomly flexing the products you do own to justify your stance? If this were a serious productivity peripheral I would have no problem with your criticism, but it’s not relevant here - on something that was made to be pointless intentionally.
If you find it pointless then you'll be glad to know that you don't need to buy it.
My plan is to set it up with the key shortcuts for teams to mute, cancel screen sharing and quit call and then plug it into my work machine for when I'm using MS teams as it tends to shaft my work laptop...
It'll be the same as existing guides for setting up macros in QMK. You would have to create a different macro for each application's respective mute shortcut. Alternatively you can use something like voicemeeter to control your microphone input across your whole system, and make a macro in QMK for voicemeeter's (or whatever audio input program you choose) mute shortcut. If youre on mac there is an OS mute that can be accessed by a macro.
