The edges on the teeth are pretty sharp, so if you actually use it as a comb it may damage your hair. The carbon fiber versions are cheaper and work way better as combs (I have 2)

My wife still pokes fun at me for this purchase, but I think the comb is pretty damn cool, even if I don't use it regularly. Actually, I've nearly lost it at a few security checkpoints (TSA, court, etc) and maybe that's why it's not getting much use anymore. Case is awesome, design of the comb is awesome, I just wish I didn't have such curly hair.

Heavy metal comb!
Ok, it doesn't play sick drum solos but it is pretty weight. Don't go too heavy on your scalp as it can hurt but it works well, wish it had finer teeth.

Really unique experience, I personally would have liked the comb to be a little finer. It's a great comb but hard to recommend at it's price.

I bought this as a gift for my son. He has long hair and this comb keeps his mane well kept, quite the looker with this tool — and the sleeve keeps the comb clean and looks neat!

I've had my comb for a little under a month now, and it is definitely worth the purchase if you want a lifelong comb. It should be noted that my sheath needed some of breaking in (I don't know if color matters but I got the teal sheath). Other than that I've had no problems (no sharp edges or anything).

coolyndonThanks for your comment. Interestingly, the Teal actually has the least "give" of any of the dozen Horween leather sheaths we make. That may explain why it needed more breaking in. The type of leather the Teal sheath is made of, called Latigo, is tighter than Chromexcel or the other Horween leathers we use. Apparently Latigo was originally designed as bridle (horse-riding) leather, so maybe that's why it's made that way. But on the plus side, it's extremely durable.
