Got mine today; love it. Nice scalp massage, doesn't break and doesn't cause static hair. I don't find it sharp in any negative sense of the word, and in fact, I have a hard time relating to how anyone could. Either the quality on these varies a lot (and I got lucky) or this is a highly subjective experience that you'll either love or hate, or perhaps it's a matter of different hair types. In any case, for me and the unit I got, it's working great!
