vongWe've talked about this before in this thread, but a Chinese knockoff on ebay isn't the same thing as this product. I'm not saying don't buy it, but they're not the same. The knockoffs I've seen are thinner, lighter, and not as well finished as this. Also not made in the USA, if that's important to you.

vongThis is John from Chicago Comb responding to the comment about Chicago Combs being a "ripoff" compared with $20 knockoffs you can buy on Ebay.
You're being taken advantage of if you spend even a cent on these fake combs. The quality is appalling - the comb is simply not usable; it's a piece of junk. Please check out the photos that are attached, below. We bought one of these copycat combs off Ebay to check it out a few months ago. We seriously could not believe that anyone could, in good conscience, sell a product that is so poorly made.
First of all, these copycats are made of very low grade metal - probably not real stainless steel (or else a very cheap alloy); it's thin and bends easily.
In between the teeth are many jagged pieces of metal, as you can see in the photos below. Those will catch on your hair when you use the comb. You can also see how the tips of teeth on these Ebay copycats have a sharp angle. This could seriously scratch your head. (The tips should be rounded and carefully polished, as we do with our combs - they obviously don't spend the time doing that).
Finally, look at the back of the comb - you can see how even the "line" of the teeth at the top is uneven. It's almost comical. You're seriously better off buying a 99 cent plastic comb at Walgreens than one of these fakes off Ebay.

ChicagoCombMine's nowhere near as bad as that. Only thing I can pick that's bad from mine is the finish isn't perfect as there's little pits in it.

vongVong, to test it out, we bought these knockoff combs from six different sellers on Ebay earlier this year (total of 6 combs). The combs are all identical, including those described in the Ebay listings as being made of "titanium." They're all cheapo, fake junk, probably made in the same sweatshop factory in China.
Apart from the quality issue, you are also using a comb which rips off our intellectual property rights. We designed this comb and have patent rights on the design. I hope you can see the irony of your earlier post calling our comb a "ripoff." It's the exact opposite situation.
